BUFFALO GROVE, IL – May 19, 2020BCD International, Inc., the industry leader for purpose-built video surveillance storage solutions, was recently named as one of the 2020 Best Places to Work in Illinois for the second year in a row. The awards program is promoted by The Daily Herald Business Ledger in partnership with the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, MRA-The Management Association, the Small Business Advocacy Council and Best Companies Group.

As much as we appreciate the revenue-driven awards, such as Inc. 5000 and Crain’s Top Privately Held Companies in Chicago, it is these awards, such as Best Places to Work in Illinois, that means the most to me. This represents the voice of our employees who responded to the anonymous survey by the Daily Herald Business Ledger without the threat of repercussion. The fact that this marks our second consecutive Best Places to Work award makes it even that much more special! A company is only as good as its team. Knowing that these happy team members are those working directly with our customers defines who we are.

Chief Executive Officer, BCD International, Inc.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Illinois. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Illinois and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.

BCD International, Inc. will be recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in Illinois awards ceremony coordinated by The Daily Herald Business Ledger on Thursday, August 20. The final rankings will be announced at the event, posted on the Business Ledger website (www.dhbusinessledger.com), and published in a special commemorative section on September 14. An unranked list of all honorees will be announced in the May 18 issue of the Business Ledger.
